Liner Notes
This is the oldest set of recordings by the Grandma Gershwin Band. Most of the recordings were done on a Panasonic two-track reel-to-reel deck with the ability to record each channel separately. Those tapes have long ago disappeared. The music here is taken from cassette copies of those reels. Some of the music was performed using two cassette decks.

Part 1: Gershwin

Floating By Air (5/5/83)
Mind Your Head (6/7/83)
Tree Music (7/28/83)
SAE (10/11/83)
I Can't Get Through (5/14/84)
Wendy
Class project at Goldenwest College with Wendy. Recorded on GWC's 4-track in the synth lab
KUCI ID
Recorded at KUCI when I was a DJ there

Part 2: Gershwin & Steve

Steve taught me guitar when I was about 10 or so. Unfortunately, most of our music was done on the two-track reel, and only a few pieces are still available. It's too bad I never saved Revolution 10 or Gar Jam '79. Steve moved in 1981, so these are all pre-1981.
Goin' To the Fair
Two Banditos
Another Brick in the Wall Part II
A few days after we recorded this song (which was a few days after Pink Floyd played their Wall concert in Los Angeles), Steve and I attended the "talent show" at our high school. Four guys got up and lip-sync'd to the record version of this song. Now that's talent.

Part 3: Gershwin, Chris, & Steve

I never recorded most of the things Chris & I did, so there's only one song here. The last 4 songs are edited-down from the only jam recorded with all three of us. The total jam time was about 30 minutes, the guitar cables were bad, and one of the mics kept cutting in and out, so the last four songs are MONO and the quality of the recording is not too high.
